Where can you reduce clutter in your life?
Unlike my usual posts, this is going to be about something tangible.
I like to collect things.
I already want to say I’m not a hoarder. I’m not sure how true that really is, but I personally believe I’m not.
I simply just like to collect things that have to do with my hobbies. And, as a result, my collection just happens to grow immensely.
My room isn’t that big, and I have too many things for it already. I’m not really sure what to do.
I feel like I have enough things to decorate my own entire house.
If I have something decorative that is specific to a hobby or interest of mine, how could I get rid of it?
Giving it away would at least feel good in its own way, but this is something that I at least enjoy the idea of.
So, this literal clutter is what I need to clear.
This literal clutter, in turn, causes a mental clutter.
It already causes confusion around how I can even begin to clear everything out, let alone actually clear out and organize everything.
But, it also clutters my mindscape.
I feel like I have no room to think in my mind when the physical space around my actual body is cluttered.
Still, I’m not sure what to do exactly. I don’t like the idea of storing things because, in my opinion, you should just get rid of it at that point. Unless it is an expensive or extremely sentimental object, I don’t see an upside big enough to get extra storage.
I guess one day I will have to get rid of things. Maybe I’ll go back on my word and get a storage unit. Maybe I’ll decide to give everything away.
Until then, I will live with this clutter. This weirdly organized but towering clutter.
